Hackday is a gathering of like-minded hacker types in an attempt to do some very cool and innovative things with all that funky Web 2.0 goodness that's floating around. The idea is that 500 vetted developers all get put in one room (ok, a very big room - Alexandra Palace) for 24 hours, shaken vigorously, and we see what pops out. We've been involved behind the scenes with d::gen's AMEE carbon calculator project for quite a while, and we provide smartmessages mailing lists for AMEE's fast-growing user community.
